About Joost & Onne

In 1998 I came to Cómpeta for the first time on holiday. The hospitable atmosphere, the climate and the nature reserve with plenty of walking opportunities led me to purchase a holiday home in the area in 1999. Many further walks led to my final emigration to Andalusia and the founding of the Spanjeanders walking company. After almost 20 years, I handed over Spanjeanders to my son Onne in 2019. I still like to help Onne when necessary. Spanjeanders is truly a family business.

Whether you prefer a solo adventure or group excursions, we've got you covered. Choose from our individual walking packages in Competa, with a choice of over 30 walks, or join one of our qualified guides on a group hiking trip to Granada, Alfarnatejo, or Nerja.
